So couple days ago I had a seizure. That seizure I didn’t know you can bite your tongue. My tongue has been in pain for a couple days and is there any way I can get rid of the pain.

What I’m about to say isn’t going to be very pleasant but having had epilepsy for 50+ years I can tell you it works. So now for the not pleasant side. Make a mild solution of salt and water NOTE I SAID MILD. Then rinse your mouth at regular intervals. It’s not pleasent but eventually your tongue will heal. Tepid water would be best. Hope you feel better soon.

I am sorry to hear but I can ( somewhat) empathise as my daughter had Epilepsy and bites her tongue. I can recommend a mouthwash “ Gengigel” use it 3 times a day and try to really hold the mouthwash in yr mouth as long as possible. Basically, nothing will heal the damage apart from your own bodies repair system but Gengigel contains ingredients as closely matched as possible to those your body produces to heal so it may reduce the healing by a few days. Also, if it is causing pain take paracetamol every 4 hours ( within daily maximum allowance) and provided it doesn’t interact with any other medication you take. Also try to distract yourself a little from the pain by doing things you like... it may take a few days but it will heal.
