I would strongly suggest going back to tour consultant and discuss your medication and seizures with them.

Different meds help different types of epilepsy.

I am on Keppra and have been well conrrolled for 5 years now.

Tegrotol was one of my previous meds and it caused severe reflux disease which is with you for ever. Double check for alternatives such as dilantin and clobazam.

Clobazam is quite hard to get off of when on and if no longer works u become dependant its a tricky bugger

Hi Khalid,

I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

There are lots of things you can do that might help. For example, remembering to take your medication and trying to figure out what “triggers” your seizures (for me it is exhaustion, especially if it’s due to not having enough sleep) and trying to reduce these triggers. Living a generally healthy lifestyle (not much alcohol, good diet, moderate amount of exercise) may also help.

However, there is no guarantee that your seizures will go away completely. You should see a neurologist regularly to review your Epilepsy and it may be that you need to try several medications before you find one that works.

Good luck,

Amy

I agree with goin back to ur dr. I cant understand y ur dr isnt keepin a eye on ur progress every 2 months isnt stable. I am on tegratol to and clonazepam and clobazam and many others. I have been on keppra and many others. Its about finding what medication or mix of meds is right for u. Triggers can be anything from stress, lack of sleep, sickness(throw up ur meds enough not great) tirdness, panic attacks brought on mine when i was younger and hormones. Mines stress tiredness and being run down, so i keep my vit c levels up try get sleep and try not to stress and hormones and meditate. I cry a lot to i find it helps to destress me.
