Is it ok to still use Evening Primrose oil now I’ve been diagnosed with epilepsy?

There is conflicting information about epilepsy and evening primrose oil (EPO). Up until recently it was suggested that people with epilepsy would be best to avoid EPO. But recent research seems to indicate that EPO isn’t really a problem for people with epilepsy after all. However, some people with epilepsy may still decide to be cautious, and avoid EPO.

As for Primrose oil I do not know, better ask your neurologist if there is a possibility of your medicine and chemicals in the oil can not work together . ( this has a name in English) I ended up in hospital once when I took some " vitamins" on top of my epilepsy medicine. I was half asleep, slow and did not function at all. It appeared that the "vitamins" and the medicines did not mix well. Once the " vitamins" were out of my system things were back to normal.
