Does anyone have seizures where you are aware but unable to respond or communicate weird thing is my hands flick out fingers just tap
I do! When people talk I can hear each word but just can’t make sense of it. Music sounds weird. I can get myself to a safe spot unless I’m running or riding my bike then I’m just stuck doing whatever I’m doing. I sometimes twitch pretty bad.
Hi that's what I'm like I can hear everything but can't respond then I start twitching my fingers also move about then when it stops I'm so tired usually only lasts about 2 minutes at the most do you feel nauseaus before & after?
Yes, the nausea! Sometimes I've been nauseous for a couple hours before, but usually not. And I'm the same in a couple minutes it's over and actually the only other thing I've noticed is that I just feel a little sad for no reason the next couple days, I think it's just some kind of chemical thing or my brain is recovering. It's not depression just not feeling like my happy go lucky self.
Thanks & me feel very low then snap out of it then another seizure and it starts again 🤦♀️
I’m sorry to hear that, I use to get multiple seizures a day, it’s truly miserable. Since being on keto ( last two years) and low THC hug CBD I only get them once every month or so.
How much cbd do you take? And I'm thinking of doing keto 😁
With years of trial and error, I’ve found for me CBD only works with a little tiny bit of THC, also not all brands are created equal( for THC and CBD) . I take .5 mL of a micronized Isolate 900 mg every night. Keto has been very effective for me too, I’d highly recommend it.
Yup. It’s aphasia. I have temporal lobe seizures and while they are happening I just can’t get any words out or really communicate. I do understand people, tho. Takes awhile for the speech to come back, especially after a bigger seizure. Weird thing: hours later I seem to talk more than normal??? Maybe it’s my brain just trying to find equilibrium 🤷♀️
How long does it take you to be able to communicate again? 🤔
Varies. For a big one, I’d say I start slowly mumbling letters maybe a short word or part of a word about 3-5 min after the seizure has stopped. From there it just slowly comes back. Normal sentence structure and feeling pretty ok within a couple hours.
With short, small seizures it’s fast and mostly comes back at once. I just sound “out if it”. The thing that for some reason takes the longest is names of things, places, people. I’ve heard stories about this but not sure if it means much. Hope that helps - sorry for the long reply!
This sound kind of what you’ve experienced?
