Primidone SERB 50 mg tablets – error on barcode

There is an error on the barcode of some batches of Primidone 50 mg tablets made by SERB. When the barcode is scanned, it says the tablets are 250 mg, not 50 mg tablets as it should.

The tablets inside are 50 mg and the dose is written correctly on the box. It is only the barcode that is wrong. The affected batches have not been recalled and will be sent to pharmacists as normal, so there should be no impact on supply.

Full details of this alert are available from the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.
