Unsure if anxiety/panic

Hi all,

As I'm sure a lot of you have done, I've Googled the hell out of anxiety attacks, panic attacks, PNES and seizures.

Im currently awaiting an MRI and EEG for possible focal aware epilepsy (or what the correct term now is).

I'm in this 50/50 state right now where I'm finding it so hard to tell if intense episodes of anxiety and/or panic are seizures or not. Medical history wise, I had two tonic clonic seizures when I was eight years old as a result of an infection and I've not had one since then.

A few months back, I noticed that when I was having these intense episodes of anxiety, I felt like I was getting stuck on a thought in my mind and the thought didn't materialise, it was like I was trying to remember something but it just didn't happen. What I've realised though since being put on anti epileptic medication as a precaution is that this still happens since the medication and that I've managed to think myself out of these episodes occasionally.

What I thought was deja vu, was actually me trying to chase a thought that sometimes I could remember and other times I couldn't. What has scared me, has been the sudden onset of trying to remember a thought about absolutely nothing and then being hit with a massive whack of anxiety.

I'm truely lost and I think I've worked myself up too much. I know I should wait for results, but having read up a lot on this, a lot of you have said you had MRI's and EEG's that were clear but were still diagnosed with focal aware epilepsy. I don't get the difference.
