I'm new here.

What kind of epilepsy is this? If it even is epilepsy. HELP.

I know it's coming. My body slows down. My speech starts to slow until I can't get words out. I still see, hear and know everything that's going on around me but can't speak. BUT if asked a yes/no question I can nod/shake. If I push it too far I eventually have to stop my pushbike and I can't force my foot to hold me up so I will fall to the left by choice. I have had CT ECG EEG MRI and all with nothing showing and no evidence of anything wrong. I had an attack of VERTIGO before this started and wonder if it could be connected to that, or to a new diagnosis of T2 Diabetes.

It has never happened whilst driving, only walking or cycling.

Hi, I’m the same no MRI scan proof, my neurologist said it’s like a freckle on the brain!! Assume you take medication!

Take care

Petite mal sz. Should you be driving?

It sounds like me when I first started all those years ago.

Now on meds which have helped greatly. I don't think an MRI scan can prove brain disfunction. Only behaviour can.

I think that most people with Epilepsy never have positive results from tests. Certainly I never have (from CT scans and EEG), but when I don't take medication, I have various types of seizures and its pretty obvious I definitely have epilepsy.

Hi there. I went through the same, all those scans. Its probably idiopathic i.e. of unknown cause (so no brain visible brain damage, lesions or any other peculiarity in brain structure). In my case the conclusion of my neurologist was that it was genetic, which is very common - my family has a history of epilepsy on both sides - mother, grandmother, aunt, 2 cousins.
