Hi there vic1381, gastrointestinal problems (e.g. pain, bloating, nausea, indigestion) are common side effects of gabapentin, but I would expect a side effect to come on a lot sooner than 9 months after starting a drug. Are you taking any other medication? Gabapentin has very few drug interactions, but it might be worth checking. I recommend you make an appointment to see your GP and describe exactly what you are experiencing - he/she should be able to offer you advice. All the best, ERUK_RI

Hi vic1381, please make an appointment to see your GP or speak to the local pharmacy about the interactions you are having. All medication causes gastrointestinal problems, but 9 months later could be to another underlying cause. Keep us posted on your progress.

I've no understanding of gabapentin? but in my beliefs i'll say that, your legs are an extremity from your heart. As you age your muscles weaken, your heart is no different to your leg, it's a muscle that works on it's own behalf instead of manually, but as it weakens it find it hard to pump blood to areas like the legs. And with the over activity from epilepsy it will create an ache. It caused an ache in the back of my foot, under my heel and my left leg through exercise it's gone. I received plenty of jerks in my body, mainly around soft muscles my hips, upper leg and my behind. At night your bodies at it's most relaxed, and when your nerves travel across the afflicted area of brain, it reacts the same way as when you pour a kettle on your hand by accident. It throws it as far away as possible for safety, and wherever you have a weakness in your bodies muscle, it will be startled by the nerve traveling across it the activity causing movement. I know through my experiences that your physical fitness is the key to maintaining, and gaining a conscious understanding of your feelings.
