I hate to say it but I became v depressed whilst taking Keppra therefore they weaned me off it. Do you mind me asking what else you're talking?

I took keppra at quite a high dose but it just didn't seem to do much. and I dont remember any particular side effects. I did have double vision with oxcarbazapine though.

I hear many complaints about Keppra. I have never been on it, but don't wish to. I am currently taking Carbamazapine and Phenytoin, which I have been on for years. These two are doing me well! Perhaps a change is necessary, but speak to your Neurologist if you aren't happy with the medication you are on!

I took Keppra as a teenager. Honestly I don't really know/remember the effect it had on me, but my mum was convinced it had negative effects on my attitude, weight and memory. Luckily, I was not on it for long.

Hi everyone and thanks for the answers. I`ve been on a combination of Keppra 3000mg a day and Orfiril 2400mg a day. This has been going on for 8 years now. I feel depressed and confused. I went to my doctor to see about the depression and it turned out to be something called dysthymia. It`s a state you`re in , constantly feeling negative and It`s harder to see the brighter side of life.
