Hi 50forever,

Honestly I don’t know what exercises, but you can always start with a walk. Let yourself recover for one month more. Take your time. It’s been a big surgery for you sweety. Relax and give yourself time to recover upto 3 months

Hi I'm at the same stage as you post hysterectomy and endometriosis removal. At 10 days post operation I started going on short slow walks which I have gradually built up, at 5 weeks post hysterectomy I started going in the Wii fit and gradually built up time and tried different exercises, I can now manage about 30 minutes, nothing strenuous just at my own pace. I am still using pain relief daily but I have a little more energy each day. Good luck with your recovery. Xxx

I had this surgery in August. As far as exercise goes at the moment you should only really be doing gentle walking.

I hear about women on a fitness site saying they were doing combat etc at this stage and I think that is crazy.

When your cervix is removed they are removing the supporting structure that holds everything inside and the new area the ‘cuff’ is stitched up and onto remaining ligaments etc.

There is a very high risk of prolapse if you start to exercise too soon. I didn’t want to risk that and I was told there are literally hundreds of internal stitches that need to heal and that can take months.

By twelve weeks I had swam a couple of times, managed short walks.

I then started step again. Just a twenty min beginner and I left out all the jumping parts and kept

It really simple. I found it very tiring. I am still doing

Low impact version of step and restarted body pump but

Focus on upper body. I don’t want to load up weight and start squatting and cause myself an injury.

Speak to your GP or surgery team. See what they say. But be kind to yourself.

I am

Literally just stepping up

My game with regards to exercise.

Take care x
