Hello, I'm Sian, I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2016 following ovarian cyst removal. At the minute I seem to be in a bit of bother with it. I'm in pain every day, suffering fatigue and REALLY bloated 24/7. Its really starting to get me down as up until now I've only really had small flare ups about twice a month. I don't really understand the progression very well or whether it can even progress when you're taking oral contraceptives for it? If so then I have no idea why its got so much worse recently! Anyway, I came on here hopefully looking for people who either have the answers or understand how I'm feeling. Starting to feel like everyone around me is getting a bit fed up of it.

Hey Sian - I’m in a very similar situation and really gets me down that no one understands. It’s frustrating isn’t it. It’s lovely to have support groups as we are all in same boat. Message privately if you want to talk - happy to 😊 I find stress at work or home flares up. I find a vicious circle cos I end up stressing myself out without realising and then making the endo worse.

I’ve been told a lot of what we eat affects endo but if I’m honest I struggle with diet so can’t say whether it does for me.

Big hugs to you. Xx

Hi Danni!

Thank you so much for replying. It's actually so comforting that other people understand (although I am sorry that you suffer too!). I get the exact same! Any kind of stress seems to cause a flare and sometimes even without stress. I totally understand the vicious cycle thing, the stress causes a flare, then the flare causes more stress!

I've read about diet a lot these past few days, I might try the changes to my diet and see whether that helps - although giving up gluten will be hard!

The same goes for you. :)

Big hugs to you too. xx
