Cause of hydrosalpinx

Hi,

I have had painful periods for years, also very heavy and weeks long. In the last 6 months I have started bleeding every 2-7 days. And an extremely bloated stomach (people think I am pregnant). My usual GP suspected endo so sent me for an ultrasound which showed a hydrosalpinx, nothing else. I had a temperature & was sent straight to hospital and they thought it had got infected so was given IV antibiotics. My usual GP is away so saw a different GP and he is saying endo wouldn't cause a hydrosalpinx. This doesn't seem to fit in with what I've read. I have never had an sti (been tested) & no discharge etc. I am in a lot of pain so requested a private gynae apointment. Any thoughts?
