I am looking at going on Visanne for my suspected endo. Previously, when trying numerous birth control pills I have been very effected emotionally and mentally. So I am hesitant to start this, I’m interested to know anyone’s experiences with taking visanne ?
Thanks

I'm used visanne 18 months ago. I had laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis (9cm cyst). My doctor planned for stop my period for one year. So she prescribed me visanne (dienogest). First month are horrible experience abdominal pain with period, tablet does not stop my period. I'm taken 1 tablet per day.Tranexamic Acid(500.0 Mg) I taken this tablet for 2days 2 per day. I had continuously pain on right side navel pain on my 3rd month. So I take the ultrasound scan report was 2 cm cyst. Doctor told me take 2 tablet per day (dienogest). 45 days I'm free from all periods only ( not pain). Then I had prolonged period for 8days with Tranexamic Acid and dienogest 2mg. But I continued that. My hemoglobin level was 9 so I stop that. Started femilon combination pill. This was stop period but not spotting. My opinion is visanne not working for below 35 years old woman.
Hi Nikill, thank you for your reply and sharing your experience :). I am under 35 so yeah and I’ve been doing more research on it, I’m thinking that I will give it a miss at this stage.
Ask to your doctor about visanne. Make a list of questions before appointment with a Dr. I missed I think that was dienogest will thin a endometrium. So patient will get prolonged period. This happened to me. I was found in ultrasound scan.
Thank to you
