Hy! I had an Hashimoto encephalitis really similar wich what the well known journalist Susannah Cahalan had (a video of her story: youtu.be/Najj0aVLJwU).

Does anyone had this? Problem with their thyroid and psychotic episode? And how is the recovery? For me, the beginning was really hard. Had to start from scratch to work on my new life.

Now i’m almost good. Have almost no medication to take and i’m aible to hope and love life again.

Hope you’re all well during this « other » crise of covid-19.

Hi VJM19, No I have never had any thyroid or psychotic problems due to encephalitis. But I have a family history of hypothyroidism that my Mum suffered from for years and this resulted in her diagnosis of Subcortical Vascular Dementia, but she passed away last year just after New Year.
