I have been taking an antihistamine based Anti depressant which has made me ill, many symptoms including neuropathy of the toes, fingers, mouth tongue very sore. Terrible tinnitus, nausea and on and on. Feel really ill now. Can you be allergic or sensitive to antihistamines ?

Thank you sandy. As it's an old antihistamine based A Depressant, I've been taking mostly for anxiety and Agoraphobia, it has been dismissed as a symptom of my condition. I have been getting rapidly more ill each day, but, hey! it's just anxiety. keep taking it, you will get better. .However yesterday I had a visit from a support worker who took one look at me and asked that I keep my phone by me and if I get any worse to call for medical help... Mmmm, Makes you think. Needless to say I have stopped taking it, and though still lots of peripheral neuropathy etc , my throat and tongue is not as swollen. Definitely not touching it again. Who knows what would happen. Thanks again for the reply
