You beat me to it. I was just reading this from the ME Association facebook page. Just came on here to post it and found your post.

Dr Charles Shepherd on there is saying that as this is just a preliminary analysis, it probably won't change the NICE guidelines unless and until "a further more detailed re-analysis and report confirms these findings, AND gains the endorsement of yet more reputable members of the research community, then NICE will have to take serious note of the findings"

Still, it's hope for the future. There were a lot of backers from the research community in the tribunal so hopefully they will continue to fight the good fight until this rubbish gets put in the bin where it belongs.

I like the bit about "Pending a comprehensive review or audit of trial data, it seems prudent that the published trial results should be treated as potentially unsound, as well as the medical texts, review articles, and public policies based on those results".

All they had to do was listen to ME patients. We told them from the start that the science was unsound because we KNOW it makes us worse.

Yes I've just seen this today too. I haven't been able to read it through yet as there is so much on social media at the minute between the PACE results, Peter White's insistance that there is nothing wrong with PACE (ggrrrr!) theguardian.com/commentisfr...

and the new MEGA trial investinme.org/IIME-Newslet... that so many #pwme are up in arms about at the minute because it involves Peter White and Esther Crawley, that I'm barely managing to keep on top of developments at the minute.

Rundown because of ME or gut bacteria missing taking immune system out a chicken and egg which came first question.
