anybody here ckd stage 3 for 5 decades and is that even possible

Did someone tell you they were in stage 3 for 5 decades? I imagine staging may not even have been developed 50 years ago. I am 86 and have stable stage 3 CKD for more than two years.

no noone told me, just out of curiosity, im just scared cuz im 31 and i believe im alredy at stage 3a,well still have not confirmed it though, im just hoping that id be at stage 3 until im 70 cause i dont want to have dialysis until then you think that its possible??

If I were in your situation, I would stop focusing on how many years I could stay in stage 3, and learn more from people your age and somewhat older who are on dialysis. Many lead happy and productive lives. Also, ask here how you can learn more about the different kinds of dialysis.

My husband was stage 3 for at least 16 years that wee know of they didn't used to be as informative as they are now! my hubby just carried on a normal active life trying to eat healthily & keep hydrated thats the best thing you can do he went very quickly from stage 3 4 then 5 & on dialysis but because of heart & lung problems etc hes 61 now & been on dialysis 6 years he's sure he would still be stage 3 if it hadn't been for these other problems just look after yourself & try not to worry! my mum also was stage 3 & improved to stage 2 shes 85 caused by kidney stones! x
