Peoples experience with bisoprolol

Hi I was just wondering how people cope with bisoprolol. I've been on 2.5mg for a long time but now on 1.2mg and it still makes me feel really terrible. Does any body else feel this too? I don't know whether to the bisoprolol or my declining function.

my husband tried a lot of different bp drugs & finds bisoprolol suits him best my mum also takes it with no ill affects it is supposed to be one of the best in strengthening the heart but everyone is different you could ask to try something else instead!

My brother had to come off of Bisoprolol  it made him very depressed.

So far I am Ok on 1.25mgs. of Bisoprlol   plus Ramipril.    I had to try many B/P meds, as a lot didn't suit.

I have been taking 2.5mg since December and have noticed my knee pain and muscle aches have increased, but it is the best drug for strengthening my heart so I will persevere.

Best wishes Christine

Hi beanbags..... My husband was prescribed bisoprol, cant remember the dose but it wiped him out. (his words not mine). I would say overly tired. The cardiologist changed it to diltiazem at 120 mg.... This sent his BP far too low...It was reduced to 60mg which was fine but his heart rate increased. Now he takes 90 mg and absolutely fine. The cardiologist delighted we saw him just before Easter and noted he walked briskly was happy and relaxed.. It is about finding what is best for you. If you are not happy with how you feel then there are other drugs to try.... Please tell your GP how you feel and be prepared to try something else. If there are any problems ask for a referral to a cardiologist.  Best wishes... Love Belle x
