Hi, I read on a diabetes forum I use that if blood sugars are over 10 it's good practice to drink 1 litre of water and go for a brisk walk. This helps to get blood sugars to below 10 and ensure that complications don't arise from high blood sugars. I forget to do this so, I carry a 750 ml bottle of water with me when I'm out and about just in case my bloods rise.
This is very good information/advice, ThyroidThora. Thank you for bringing it up and sharing it with everyone.
When I go out, I bring a water bottle and drink (hopefully) the entire amount of water before getting home. This helps me bring the numbers slightly down a bit depending on how they are when starting to leave the house at the time. The bottle is about 2 cups worth, so I refill on the way back to go home.
Does this really help?...I never heard of it! Guess I'll have to try and see!
We never drink enough, should drink up to 2 litres a day. If we ignore the signals of thirst we stop noticing them. I’ve got water bottles, one of which is about 700ml but I can’t see the level decreasing as I drink it, so bought a clear bottle so I can see.
That's a great idea about getting clear see-through bottles. There's also clear see-through bottles that have different colors and are big in size. Those are plastic.
I bought a bottle of water, think near a litre and just refill it. I’ll shortly have to recycle it as it’s looking dented 🙄
When did you buy the bottle?
Can’t remember 🙄
That's okay. Some bottles start to need replacing after a few uses, anyway-- no matter how long they've been around and used.
I do also have other specific longer use bottles, just I think I’d had this to take somewhere that I could discard ethically if required.
