I am disabled and cannot even to Pilates anymore. But I do find using a power plate helps with reducing sugar levels - even then I have to be careful with osteo arthritis .

Exercise is SO important. Personally, I have a lot of injuries to work around, and it can get quite painful at times, but it makes so much difference to my health. It's been a few years since running was an option though. Walking up hills is kind of like running though ... probably.
