My self 51 y old my suger level is high 280/300 i have med -diapride 2 and pionorm m 15/mg twise a day pl help us how to down blood suger.
Test glycated hemoglobin and if more than 6 consult good Diabetic specialist
You must consult a diabetologist and follow his instructions. Physical exercise is a must and regular and timely meals are also essential.
I faced sudden weight loss in the beginning but i did not visited doctor becoz i was fearing of what will be the report, also day by day i faced new problems like i was getting tired in few minutes of my work and also my legs pain started, then forcibly my family members(wife) took me to doctor after 8 to 9 months suffering. thank god after checking my lipid profile i was diabetic and not any other serious disease . i was having 209 fasting and 325 post-prandel (after meals) on 21-08-2010.
i searched net and talked with several people having diabetes and i came to decision and changed my lifestyle and eating habits like-
a) I use to walk 4 km fast(brisk walk) in 35 minutes every day (sometimes i miss it due to my job say about 6-7 days in a month).
b) I take my food timely, sometimes if it is not possible i carry some biscuits with me and never leave the stomach empty.
c) I take aloevera (made by forever living company it is worlds best aloevera) daily about 100ml.
d) Also take salmon omega of same company it is also available with amway.
e) Medicine prescribed by my doctor is GP1 , at starting i took this medicine 2 times a day with meals and continued for one year, but now i have stopped and only take on the day i miss walking and take it for one time in a day.
d) Some times once in a month i take sweets like rasgulla in quantity less than 2.
e) My present sugar level is 125 fasting and 165 after meals and i also feel healthy and gained my weight which i loosed in the beginning.
I shared my experience so that it may can help anyone because many of us get confused by people around us by false promising that diabetes is curable. it can be prevented by the lifestyle i have seen in my case, so friends there is only precautions and exercise which can help keep diabetes away and don't get confused by any baba type or jhola chap doctors you will find around yourselves.
Also i have mentioned the nutritional products above which i have found very beneficial for my health and i do not endorse those for any one to use, any one interested can take on their own decision.

do regular walk for an hour daily nd control ur diet...thts d first step secondly i dnt knw abt these medicines bt in such circumstances normaly doctor prefers injecting insuline nt tablests nd once its under control thn u cn shift to tablets so discuss it with ur doctor in detail...
Only when response to oral antidaibetic drugs fail to control your blood sugar due to shortage of insulin secretion and insulin resistance increased and in cases of stressful condition like expecting surgeris OHA FAILS So please try insulin therapy under medical sypervision with boldness
First u eat small quantity of meals in 3 4 times and take black tea and also karela juce
maithy powder and regular walk for 30 to 45 minutes and 15 to 30 minutes exercise. This will reduce your Sugar level.
My weight was stable at 50 kg since last 20 yrs and and I was physically fit, but two years ago, I suddenly filled tiredness and giddiness on my workplace. I consulted to doctor and found that sugar level was 350 in fasting and 596 pp. I took 12 unit insulin in morning and 6 unit in evening myself. Did not leave eating potato and rice. Only left eating Sweets and sugar directly, Started physical job and light exercise irregularly. I took madushunya of khadi gramodyog 1 teaspoon daily and Sugar level come down to 125. but again due to negligence after one year it came up to 200/368 but on exercise and light medicine now I am fit. So exercise is very ggod for sugar
Pranayam - Kapal Bhati & Anulom vilom for 20 minutes each daily will bring down your sugar level substantially.
I am also diabetic since 1995 but under control with medication. My age 57+. I have changed my lifestyle and although I take high medicines viz., Amryl 1M, Metaformin 500mg, Januvia 1mg and Rosavas. In addition I take early bath before 6 a.m and resort to exercise -standing, Pranayam - Ramdev prescribed ?????????, ???? ????, ?????? ?????, ?????, ????????, ??????? altogether 15 to minutes in front of T V listening devotional discourses and/or songs
thereafter sitting and sleeping exercises (yogas) ending with 5 to 10 minutes Savaasan. I almost devote 60 to 75 minutes for whole episode 4 to 5 days a week. This has ensured me well even though I some times, if circumstances demand, take sweet items and potato.
When I was at the age of 50+ after visiting Ramdev Camp, viewing Sahaja Yoga on DD Sports I dispelled the doubt that I may not be fit for doing Yoga. With slow and steadiness and not having any desire I am able to bend my body to an appreciable (not perfect) extent. So you may also try and if possible attend Ramdev camps that must be there in your locality.
All the systems suggest diabetes need to be controlled. I am feeling light though I have not reduced my weight and am generally active. I have stopped Morning walk after learning that by morning walk I am troubling only the legs to clear my ailments created by mouth and belly and contributed by inactive other parts of the body. Further I have learnt Diabetes along with Asthma and BP (Luckily, I am not suffering with the other two ailments) are not diseases but deficiencies just like not learning Tamil never dispelled me from going to Tamil Nadu or any other states.
I have compared the diseases to our offerings to GOD in different manners. Diabetes, Asthma, BP etc are like daily offerings at home, cold, cough, fever alike are frequent offerings in temples in our neighborhood, cholera, typhoid alike are annual rituals like Durga Puja, Saraswati, Ganesh festivals and the last Madcow, Swineflu etc are alike Kumbha Melas occurred after a lapse of a decade. So let us accept the deficiencies and do not get panicky as diseases.

Don't eat full-stomach; also don't over-eat; I take all fruits except chickoo and bananas; also only once a day milk-tea else twice black tea; black coffee also good, at least I take coffee, ain't sure about other diabetics; God bless all with good health; most vital: just pray, meditate, don't think much, always try remaining jovial, and smile!!!!! avoid friends; I don't have any friends else they'd keep enjoying on your wealth, will keep bothering you, futile commuting to friends' home or elsewhere because rotten infra and traffic jams will affect blood flow, circulation and result in unnecessary high BP levels; take care of your parents, worship them, take them abroad in group tours, feel the experience, sense it all and see the vast difference it'd make in overall metabolism and health, BP-levels, etc. and if you have the wealth, enjoy it and travel worldwide, enjoy holidays; just my viewpoint; apologies to all for any inconvenience caused, Rgds, Tejkumar

Please follow strict diet,
long & brisk walk for for 3-5 Kms preferably after food both in morning & evenings
Reduce your weight, if it is not more.
Consult a good docter, and follow up.
Your blood sugar level is very high.It seems the medicines you are taking are notworking on you. Your diabetologist should consider revising your treatment. Are you walking and exercisizing regularly Jagdish ?
I,m 76. sugar levels r always fluctuatig. Restricted diet. This is because of this long lasting ailment, incurable. To live with this is vv difficult. Not eatinganythinglike "sweets"whichn r so tempting. Daily exercise this age is v. difficuklt. Cramps on the legs is v.agonising. Walking too. I feel with 2 or 11/2 "pulkas" in place of rice with veg.really causes weakness in the body. No intake of glucose or anyother substitute for energy giving sweets r not there henceforth. Yet this malady ismy inseperable "friend" I have 2 live with it.Advice if u can.
please don't worry ,because i am also diabetic patient since 13 year. and my sugar at that time 123/243 . i joined yoga & fast walking . don't take any tension & take meal every 3 to 4 times in day & also drinking the water 1 glass every half hour.
Your sugar level is very high, you should consult agood dibetic specialst aur Endicrimlogist. If he start insulline... dont worry it is safe.you should not eat jamun in much quanity. it may effecy ur kidner. have a regular walk and exercise along with nornmal diet. and be happy always.

Very bad control. Why can't you consult a diabetes doctor as your sugar levels are not adjustable by advises in these forum?
You are to use some food supplement alongwith the medicines.

Too many advices will confuse you. Best is to move on to insulin + oral hypoglycaemic tablets ( maximum dosages). Regular moderate exercise and balanced diet ( need not avoid all things) but take your food in small quantities spread over the day. With you level of sugar do not try any other medication except to move on to insulin. With this sugar levels you will have glucose toxicity and hence only insulin will help. You will get into complications if you leave for a longer time and waste time trying various other means
