I do not have any reference,but I read somewhere that it interferes with metformin effectiveness.We need to search into this.

I would think not as I use ginger in my cooking and my husband is diabetic. Ginger is good for combating inflammation, so I should think it could help diabetics as well, but like all good things - in moderation is the way to go, I feel.
