you are from tamilnadu...my advise is to go to Thiruvannamalai and do the 13 km walking giri pradakshina every 15 days. this will definitely reduce calorie and give you stamina to continue walking in your daily lifestyle also. I have benefitted a lot walking in the hills and doing giri pradakshina at Thiruvannamalai
