Hello Everyone, I am asking about the medicine for my father. My father is a diabetic paitent since a long time. But as from past week his sugar level was'nt under control, thus the DOCTOR has added AZULIX 2MF FORTE medicine with his regular ones.
I tested his sugar level (FASTING) for two days it was about 150, but after 2 days of having this medicine his sugar level reduced to 91.
Does this drug is effecting him so much. Shall we discontinue this medicine??
I used this medicine for a period of one year and then it started to make side effects on me. loose motion in 5 to 6 times every day and i went to a gastro. There I had undergone for endoscopy and colonoscopy. Nothing unusual. He prescribed a lot of medicine. I treated another two months ; no use. Then i start to feel to discontinue this azulix. I changed to another medicine. All my problems gone within three days. I hope this experience will help you. Best wishes.
Sir ,Azulix 2MF is a combination of Metformin 500mg and glimepride 2mg drug. It is common drug now a days prescribed by doctor.The side effects are diarrhea, vomiting etc.If is not suiting to your father you change this with consultation with your doctor.But I request you to try for 15 days for LCHF diet.I am over sure your father will not need it .I presume he was taking plain metformin. Please try once nothing to lose but gain only. Thanks.
Yes any Glimeperide & metformin SR/MR combination that one takes comes with side effects, like any other drugs.
Even Aspirin has side effects & so has Paracetamol.
Question is what is you are looking at? A lesser evil or a demon like Frankenstein that would annihilate the creator or the patient in this case.
Azulix2 MF, Amaryl M2 Forte, Zoryl M2 are just brands, but essential salts are same.
Choose a lesser & easier to adapt evil of discontinuing the medicines for minor side effects or languish with serious complications of diabetes.
You can judge at your own peril.
I am sure , if you have a good doctor to consult, he would respond like me candidly & if he is a sucker who wants you to visit his clinic regularly, then he may tinker by changing some other salts.
But that would not take away the side effects. Maybe from loose motion & headache now, you may end up having constipations & tremors.
Good reason for you to visit a competent doctor.
One piece of a worthy advise, always go a trusted doctor & not necessary a famous one.
I would like to advise you to consult a very Senior Ayurvedic Baidya for treatment of your father. Because whatever medicines he is taking is having lot of side effects. But while taking Ayurvedic Medicines , which have no side effect, he has to control diet , do some walking in morning and do some yoga also.
It will be better to send him for naturopath treatment. Myself 61+ and diabetic from last 18 years. As per my son advise I joined Yog Gram ( Near Haridwar) of Patanjali for 14 days time. After 3 days of treatment my FBS was 80 and PP was 125 without taking any medicine only due to diet control and treatment . After leaving I m taking ayurvedic medicenes of Patanjali only and I m fine.

Hello, when do you take the medicine, what is the PP range after 5 days of this medicine, if it is less then 160 then ok
One of my friend's mother has been prescribed this drug. I never thought that her condition would be so pathetic in few days. She now has several problems long with diabetes. i don't know if all these problem rose because of this drug. This drug has burning sensation at all of her body and she has grown more weak and feeble in few days. Kindly suggest something in this regard so that i can abhor this drug permanantly
