Generally two main types of diabetes is talked about.(1)juvenile or insulin dependent diabetes or simply Type 1. (2) maturity onset or non insulin dependent or simply Type 2 diabetes.

Great, the site look neat and content looks organized very well. Will signup soon. Do you all teach carb, protein and fat counting there from calorie point of view? The meals section is good thought, though i couldn't access content of the same as it asked for login.

Sure will do.

Dietary approach is the best approach to manage diabetes. I am happy that such a site has come up. Normally all LCHF sites are more western "beef and bacon" loaded diet.

I am just beginning to find here that those who shared experiences are no longer posting here by and large. Wonder why?

That's a good and practical approach! Not many diabetics are interested in academics of diabetes but are more interested in what to do to get the blood sugar down and at some stage they feel even the urge to reduce drugs. Let academics be left for researchers in lab because diabetics on the ground need solution. So hope you guys and gals aren't discussing on how Januvia or Insulin woks, but more on how to get off Januvia and reduce insulin. Discussing academics of insulin and how it works on forums is mundane. Discussing how one particular meal can drastically reduce sugar and drugs is exciting.

Nothing better than providing practical solutions in form of actual meals that works in controlling sugar. If that becomes an onerous task then even reference to videos on understanding of LCHF diet would be a good starting point.

Professor Richard Fienman (in one of the videos that I posted recently on this site) also makes a point about motivation.

Patliputra has simply stated that generally two types of diabetes are talked about- Type 1 or Type 2. But the question is how to recognise the type ? Is there any test for it which can confirm the type. How to recognise that diabetes of one person who has been diagnosed diabetic at the age of 31 is a type 1 or type 2 . Can any one guide.

antibodies (GAD65) and c-peptide test.

Type 1 is not just juvenile diabetes, that's old school thought. Even Adults get it.
