Peanut contains fair amount of mono unsaturated fatty acid.it contains good quality of protein. It has abundance of vitamins, minerals and anti oxidants, more so vitE.Roasting multiplies it's anti oxidant property.True it contains omega6 but Vco also contains only omega6 and not omega3.Latest research says omega6is also good for health. So it is good for diabetics.

Pea nuts are rich in lipids, and roasted pea nuts have partially decomposed lipid material compared to raw pea nuts. Pea nuts varies in its lipid content from varieties to varieties ( small and big size ) , and of late we get hybrid variety which is larger in size, has more proteins, relatively less carbohydrates, and low lipid content. But searching for a pea nut is difficult. In Northern part of India especially in Gujarat , and Punjab, such large varieties are available in 3 kernels per seed. Diabetics can take pea nut in small quantity, say for example upto 15 nuts , not every day but often. A relative study done by me , after consumption of 50 gms of pea nut of what is available in southern part of India, do not significantly raise the blood sugar , as it has complex carbohydrates, and has low glycemic index., But long term use, in hyper lipedemia is a great question. Overhaul, one can choose larger varieties of pea nuts for the desire, and take some. After life is to live, with desired eating, as pleasure. Why diabetics should be starved for that ?
