Low Hemoglobin

One of my family member is suffering from Thyroid & T2DM and hemoglobin level is not improving from 8 in spite of continuous medical consultation for last 2-3 years.

Kindly advise and suggest measures to improve the hemoglobin level.

Is it hypothyroidism? B12 levels, hs-CRP levels? M/F? age? How well diabetes is managed?

May be. B12 and hs-CRP level not yet tested. Female 55. Fairly controlled. A1C ranging between 6 to 7 with medication.

Is there any other tests for Thyroid is required regularly in addition to T3, T4 TSH to be done. How safe is Elthroxin 100 mcg for prolonged thyroid management. TSH has came down from 6.89 to 2.91 in last 3-4 years after continuously taking Elthroxin 100 mcg. Whether dosage to be reduced.

Thank u for your guidance. Her TSH level was 6.91 in 2008 which reduced to 2.91 now. Dosage started with 50 MCG and later increased to 100 MCG. Today already given sample for T3 T4 and TSH. Shall I go for Thyroid Panel before consulting Endrocolgist.

In hypothyriodism which supplements are beneficial. Can supradyn take care of all.

On addition to cauliflower cabbage and soy what ate other restricted food items.

Got ANA report of 0.2 which is falling well within negative range.

Check your vitamin D levels. Then correct it either by sun light or vitamin D supplementation,
