one touch ultra strips marketed by Johnson & Johnson have MRP of Rs.1295/- but sellers like Appolo Pharmacy offer discounts up to 10% for loyal customers. You may check fake strips by contacting the company. Further, the company also offer loyality points which may be used to purchase strips/lancets from them.

Manufacturers of machines make money by selling the strips and there is no way these strips are going to be any cheaper anytime soon. Some dealers give more discounts, as the strips near expiration date. I have found that, you gt better discount by buying on line from Snapdeal.com or healthkart.com, but you may want to shop around on the net.

Johnson's one touch ultra strips are not available in pack of 100 . I spoke to the Company and confirmed. 50 strips are for Rs 1295/-. With discount, they charge 1200/-.

Accucheck strips are available in packs of 100 and are much cheaper per strip.

Jhonson claims that their strips are more accurate. God knows what is the truth. We poor diabetics are being fleeced. Pl write to the Health Minister.
