I would like to know whether frequent urination in the night indicate high blood sugar levels.i am getting up twice or thrice in the night.

May be but other causes are also responsible for it. UTI,BPH,Diabetes Incipedus etc having same features. so get it excluded by Investigations . Consult your Doctor

Better to visit a diagnostic lab in the morning on empty stomach and give blood and urine samples for testing blood sugar levels.You will have to give another sample 1 1/2 to two hours after breakfast.You will get the results the same day and if they are negative you can conclude that you are not diabetic.In which case maybe you have enlarged prostate(BPH).You can get it examined by an urologist.

Generally if you can control urination @ night you may be able to have nice sleep.If self control is out of reach then above suggestions will hold good.From my experience ,I am 70 and diabetic for 15 years.When I feel to pass urine I use to control myself and will be compelled to pass within an hour.But slowly by this practice now I get up only once.I go to bed by 10 and getting at 5 and have sound sleep.swelling of prostate will compel one to pass urine very often. Urimax tablet may be tried with physician's advice.
