HBA1c is 6.5 , fasting sugar is 127, I am taking CITAPINE-XR 500 from Feb,13in the morning before breakfast, but still not reduced sugar

Only doctors can advice you regarding dosage (increase or decrease) of medicine. But you can try LWM diet plan suggested by Mr.George. In my case, I am finding it comfortable and my sugar levels are under control with medicine after starting LWM. Search for 'Long Wheat Mash' in this site.

Dear Anil , Your HBA1C reading is healthy for a diabetic. Your FBS level of 127 shows that you have Insulin resistance. For better evaluation we need to know your diet on the days of taking the FBS and PP readings. You should also provide with your sugar levels at the time of going to bed. The medicine you are taking is Metformin Hydro-chloride which is the safest drug in the market and the dose you are taking is ok to start with. If you can provide the details I requested for then I can give my opinion about taking Metformin after dinner as well to have better control of FBS. I am confident that you can bring down your sugar levels with some dietary changes .

I had HBA1C of 8.1 and I could bring it down to 6.4 in 18 months.

I can take this medicine in the night after dinner. Before dinner i takes alcohol daily and metformin is not suitable with alcohol
