what are the drugs banned by government of India recently and why? can we not continue further those drugs.
Pioglitazone was banned because the side effects were reportedly unacceptably high.It will not be available soon with the medical shops.Better you get an alternate prescription from your doctor.

Pioglitazone: The drug is banned in India. By a notification on 18 June 2013, Indian government has suspended manufacture and sale of this drug in India with immediate effect.
This drug may cause heart failure and bladder cancer. Change of lifestyle by diet, exercise, reduction of overweight and avoidance of smoking is better than medicine.
Monitoring and controlling the levels of diabetes indicators, including HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), postprandial plasma glucose (PPG), body mass index (BMI), blood pressure and lipids, is an integral component of diabetes care at every stage of the disease.

Name of the chemical component banned is PIOGLITAZONE. Many diabetes tablets contain this substance. In the Kerala market there were about 200 brands of tablets containing pioglitazone; all of them are banned & is withdrawn immediately. Selling those will end up in cancellation of license of the shop.
It is better not to take it as it, on long term use, causes ulcer & cancer in urinary tract etc.

Why worry about that? I became diabetic in 2006; but I am not worried about the banning of these medicines or any other diabetic meds. You know why? Read below:

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. It will affect SEX life also, if diab is not contained. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.
A DIABETES PATIENT (also known as A DIABETIC) need NOT starve. PROPER or APPROPRIATE food can be eaten EVEN FULL STOMACH THRICE DAILY! Try to understand diabetes & conquer it like me.
