Pioglitazone: The drug including it's combinations with other anti-diabetic drugs is banned in India. By a notification on 18 June 2013, Indian government has suspended manufacture and sale of this drug in India with immediate effect. Consult your doctor and revise the prescription.

* Do not consume food after 6:00 pm.(Alternate medicine)

* Eat less food, more times in a day.

* Reduce carbohydrate foods and increase fruits and vegetables.

* Consume fish curry with chappati (2 nos) made from multi-grain atta (Aashirvaad)

* Exercise (brisk walking) for 30 minutes is a must.

* Home blood sugar testing should be done daily and make a record of the same.

pioglitazone, rosiglitazone has been banned by govt. for it has carcinigenic properties

Some times reducing the diabetes medicines at night, brings down morning BS. Gradual reduction, till a proper balance is found. One can try reducing, one by one. No need to reduce metformin.
