Is it advisable for a surgery to the eye which has only 80% vision? The other eye could not regain vision after surgery.

presuming that you're diabetic, consult best opthalmic surgeons, get adequate opinion and you have the worldwide web too for infinite resources/information, however, if you post, it is better if you introduce yourself i.e. your condition in a bit detail to enable easy comprehension by readers, fellow members - you have neither mentioned whether you're diabetic, since how long, whether one eye had been operated, etc. etc. therefore please write a bit more, God bless you and us all with good health

You have not stated about the type of eye disease. Diabetic patients are mainly affected by diabetic retinopathy and the same is treated with laser photocoagulation.

Other diseases affecting the eyes of older people are glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment and cataract.

Only the ophthalmologist can offer remarks with reference to your medical records.

Please also see my blog on eye sight.
