Her readings are good because she is taking insulin.They are bound to rise if you discontinue.Keep the medication and keep monitoring regularly.Show the record of the readings to the doctor during next visit.The doctor will moderate the medication as deemed fit.

I totally agree. The insulin is what's helping your mum's blood sugar levels down. Please don't stop her taking it, her levels would rise to dangerous levels again. XX
