As you know, diabetes is not a disease but a metabolic disorder. So it can be controlled within normal levels by diet control, exercises and leading a stress free life style. You may also need to take medication if prescribed by a doctor. So,as long as you are successful in managing it,you will be alright. But if you slip up in your efforts, the diabetes will rise again.

However, some practitioners of ayurveda, unani and homeopathy systems claim that they can permanently cure diabetes. You may enquire further in this regard.
