Metformin night sweats

Been having night sweats most night for last few months and have just realized it coincides with when I first started taking metformin. Has anyone had the same symptoms?

I take one with breakfast and the other after dinner at 6 pm . No I don't count carbs. Should I eat more or less carbs with dinner? Thanks

I take 500mg each dose. I don't count carbs but tend to eat less than the normal person . I've not ever checked my sugar levels as I don't have any device to do so. I woke last night to go toilet and was just starting to get tacky so had a glass of lemonade with a spoon of sugar in it. I woke this morning bone dry. First time in weeks. Think you could be right. On m my leaflet about metformin it says that low blood sugar is rare whist taking it so thats where I was doubtful. I probably need a blood sugar tester so I know for sure. Thanks .
