My uncle's bydureon stopped working after a week and sugar very high, constantly increasing insulin dosage

Hello all, my uncle is both type 1 and 2 diabetic for over 40 yes, he had been on byrueon for 1 week land 3 days and the medication had stopped working and he seems to be getting worse, he needs to constantly increase his insulin dosage which used to be effective at a lower amount without the bydureon, does anyone have any experience with this kind of situation? His diet had not changed yet his body seems to be going crazy, any info would be much appreciated, thanks guys!
