Replace an old filling

Hi

I have anxiety regarding any medical health issues, this can be quite bad, and last for days .

One of my fillings has chipped so I had some temporary filling put over it on Monday and it’s come off.

When my other filling came off it was replaced and I’ve had no problems since but I feel the replacement she has put on was not the same as the other .

I don’t feel like she understands the torture it is too go through having to have a new filling as she mentioned that she need too drill it out then replace it 😢

I’m so so scared .

Has anyone had this happen regarding their filling and had too have another done ?

I did say I would rather wait till it completely falls out but she said she would rather just take it out and replace it .

I also have been told too have the anaesthetic without adrenaline as last time I had it I felt like my heart was racing too fast and it took me two days too recover.

Thanks for any help/ advice

HiI'm sorry you are going through this. Could you see a different dentist? They should treat you with care and compassion.

I haven't chipped a filling but I've had them come out or replaced. I had the local anaesthetic and I didn't feel anything. My dentist did have to drill the old one out. My dental anxiety is having teeth out because I've had a couple of bad experiences as an adult.

Lots of love Lynne xxxx 😘❣️
