I am still battling with getting clear speech from my ReSound aids. I have come to the conclusion that it’s not the aids but the settings. I see that Boots , apart from doing a hearing test, also do a full hearing assessment. I have made an appointment and see it takes more than an hour. Can anyone tell me if they have had this and if it has helped them to get clear speech?

I wore Resound HA for 2 years, until four months ago. I switched to NHS HA as they included a masking feature. I've found speech much clearer, but I've also struggled to get used to them picking up background conversations
Coincidentally, yesterday the stem on my NHS HA broke. So, I've worn my Resound HA ones today for the first time since.
I appreciate my Resound Ha much more now. As you say (coincidentally) I've also realised it's about the configuration, so I've played around more with the settings... There are pros and cons.
