Hello,

Have worn hearing aids for over 20 years and have problems which I am sure everyone of us does with the masks on for lip reading. Hope you are all keeping well and happy.

All the best to you

Jacqueline

Hi. I have been hard of hearing for 18 years. I am finding it a huge struggle to understand what people are saying as I heavily rely on lipreading. It's very frustrating and isolating at the same time. I have to pretend I've heard what they said as I'm too embarrassed to say I can't hear them. I don't wear hearing aids which is completely my choice but even if I wear hearing aids I still have to lipread so it wouldn't make a difference anyway.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it! Have worn aids for almost 20 years (and wasn’t following conversation very well before that). When I went for my vaccine I explained that I couldn’t follow the questions they asked me and they got out a flip book with the questions in a huge font! Useful but embarrassing! X
