Does anyone use an apomorphine pump succ... - Cure Parkinson's
Does anyone use an apomorphine pump successfully.Iam to trial a,pump this week, would love to hear a success story
Sorry not a success with my hubby which is a shame as it really worked very well for him but unfortunarely caused his blood pressure to drop and kept passing out. But we are all diffferent hope it works for you xx
Have you heard about the research into an apomorphine inhaler? Early days but it sounds promising if you have the 'suck power' let when you need it. Google Viartis if you would like to read a synopsis of the article.
My apo nurse tells me that for most of her patients the pump is very successful. I've been on it for 3 months now and it has not been successful for me, but I can see that where it does work it is a good treatment - not nearly as invasive or difficult to manage as I imagined. Good luck!
Hi I'm I between apo pen and pump, the meds stopped working so well so they said to try it. I had a trial and found I could move around after 10 mls it was brilliant a bit fiddley to begin with but I had a good. Teacher in my apo nurse. I found it stopped my seizing thorough doors and gave myself a little boost when I felt slowing down.
Good luck with it and if you like to know more please ask.
Chrissie
