I can not do anything either. I have arthritis too on top of PD! But I do ride a recumbent stationary bike! For a very short amount of time a few times a day when I can and am not in too much pain! I don't know if this is possible for you or not, but wanted to share this!

I agree with the first response...Seek out a physical / occupational therapist....They will "work with you" to help your situation.
"Where there's a will...there's a way"....Wishing you a good outcome.
I have a bike called the Theracycle. It has a Motor that assists with exercise. It is great.
There is a excercise book put out by the APDA that may be helpful. They have a number you could call 1-800-223-2732 or they have 2 emails apda@apdaparkinson.org or apdaparkinson.org Another helpful resource may be the APDA National Resource Center for Rehabilitation out of Boston MA. Their number is 1-800-606-1688 or bu.edu/sargent hope they can help and at the very least have them send you the booklet.
tyvm for the info
to dal57: many disabled people come to our PD exercise classes with their health aides, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. Teacher says come to class even if you watch. Finding a PT or occupational therapist is also a good suggestion. I know Medicare (here in U.S.) pays for 20 sessions -- hardly adequate but it's something!
I have just bought an exercise bike. It's fab
