Every morning around 10 AM I start feeling a hissy fit coming on so I go to my bedroom and deep breath it away. This morning my lovely wife told me to say " Go away demons. I have better things to do. Go back to the Lake of Fire! ".

Have you tried taking your first medication while in bed. set the alarm, you may find it easier to get up in a morning after it has kicked in.

just a thought.

Wish you all the best with your engagement

I have same question.

Stalevo didn't work for me. Wore off suddenly and messed up my already taxed gut :P

Otherwise happy for you. I had my most passionate relationship in my 60's. <3

Congratulations on your engagement, so happy for you! I agree with a previous post that brought up over medication--that is what we think happened to my husband two months ago, he virtually fell out of bed and could not move a muscle for over an hour. My eldest son came over to help and then created a spreadsheet to help track the meds--our neurologist, urologist and GP were very impressed with the program. My husband is now on the Neupro patch that has helped maintain Carbi/levo levels on a more even keel. He was diagnosed with PD over 20 years ago.

Stalevo is the same as Sinemet but with the addition of "Entacapone" This chemical inhibits the brain chemical that breaks down dopamine once that dopamine has been used. Thus there should be more dopamine in the system for the brain to recycle, so to speak.

So entacapone preserves dopamine for later use as a neurotransmitter rather than await production of dopamine from the remaining good brain cells and plus that made from levodopa delivered via the medication, sinemet and stalevo.
