Before, I had only dribbled on a few occasions. I suspect this is a sign of advancing Parkies.
Just recently I've been dribbling quite a... - Cure Parkinson's
Just recently I've been dribbling quite a lot, more so in the late evening before my last medicine.). Anyone got any tips to help curb it?
Do you mean from the side of your mouth? My husband is too. I think you are right of advance PD. Sorry. My husband drools more now from his left side of the mouth which is affected by the PD. We can't stop it and have no suggestions. Wish we did. I'll ask the doctor. If he has any suggestions I'll pass them on to you.

I dont believe it. Ive had it 6 years..no meds..other symptoms are not advanced. It just means we need to exercise our voices more...saying aahhh loudly 5 times and talking, reading singing and mouth and facial exercise.its muscles and diet..get advice. Also posture..
Some people assume that dribbling occurs because of over production of saliva. But actually it is because the automatic mechanism to clear the accumulation of saliva ceases to occur frequently enough. So the automatic swallowing is less automatic. If you remember to swallow manually in time to stop a dribble then great but usually it occurs when you are concentrating on other things. So that means it is normally impossible to avoid.
Good Morning from Florida; At one of our PD group meetings a rehab nurse said that chewing gum or sucking on a mint will help.

Chewing gum does help, by triggering the involuntary swallowing process. The gum chewing also stops jaw tremor, if you have that problem.
Ive been told by my MDS that Botox will help with this problem
I've not heard of any of those ideas. Glad to hear that there are options.
There is an aerosol spray used to dry up lung secretions. It is called Atrovent. Technically, it is an anti-cholinergic drug, one of it's properties is to dry up secretions. Unlike many other anti-cholinergics, when it is absorbed into the blood stream, it can not cross the blood / brain barrier, therefore it does not cause any of the untoward effects other anti-cholinergics do such as difficulty in passing urine, blurred vision, confusion u etc...if the aerosol is sprayed into the mouth, rather than using it as it should be used to be breathed into the lungs (eg like a Ventolin), it dries the saliva up for several hours and can be used about four times daily and should not cause any real problems. I agree with other answers re more swallowing etc, but this may be helpful if there are difficulties in swallowing. In Australia, Atrovent spray is a prescription only line. There is also an over-the-counter Atrovent Forte nasal spray for runny noses ( not thick mucous noses). This also may be useful if sprayed into the mouth, but you would have to experiment with the number of sprays that might be effective. I would stick to the aerosol.
Thanks for all you very helpful suggestions, I'll get back to you all in here after a couple of weeks - I've got my quarterly 5 minute appointment with my consultant next week or so.
I'm sorry I haven't got back to you - I have been out of touch with everything until recently.
Oddly enough my dribbling ceased just after my last enquiry and I didn't a thing to stop it. However, it started up about Xmas and won't desist - I have it usually, late evening but can occur anytime. I will look into your advice of using, "Atrovert" - that's if I can obtain at the chemist's here in UK. I hope it is available because I have my daughter's wedding to attend next month and I don't want to be looking on holding a tissue to my mouth and saliva splashing down my tie and shirt. Well, thanks for your advice and I do hope you are coping ok just now.
