Ho, Ho, hold on....

Christmas, ah sorry to mention! Now I am generally Mrs Everything's cool as long as I have marmite, my drums and a bit of late 1970's disco.... But one thing about Xmas that I always feel a bit glum about, and I don't do glum as a rule, is Xmas cards. I just can't write them. That Pygmy spider that inhabits my right hand, may be good for trying to beat the world record of writing the Lords prayer on a grain of rice, but is bugger all use when wanting to wax lyrical to friends and family about the highlights of 2012. Now yes I can make a nice word document and scan my signature : but I don't want that. I want my over use of exclamation marks that climb the border, my impromptu doodle, and that flamboyant signature. Want but can't have. But hey who's worried we just entered the season of mulled wine..... Oh yes!

I stopped send Christmas cards years ago. Instead, I give money to a charity. It's not much, not enough to break the US Postal Service, but it's the thought that counts, right? Let me be the first to wish you all a Merry Christmas!

My favorite charity at Christmas time and any time of the year actually is Heiffer International. Check out their website and you will see it is a living gift and a gift that keeps giving.

I suppose it is a problem many of us have. Fortunately (or unfotunately) the Post Office decided for me with the exhorbitant charges for a stamp.

I absolutely dread Christmas. I have no family I want to see so it means I am alone trying to manage my hyperactive kids with no chance of support. No fancy Xmas dinner as I don't have the energy to cook it. And drinking one glass of wine gives me a two day migraine. Sorry to moan, have just woken up full of anxiety.

Could you possibly hook-up with local people in similar circumstances and have some kind of get together over Christmas- perhaps, maybe. I suppose that could be a bit tricky if you haven't sufficient time to get to know people properly first. Just a thought.

I say, you mean you have a real problem with spelling - well i beg your pardon. One strange thing - i notice is that spelling seems to improve towards the end of each line One would expect it to be the other way around.
