ANNOUNCING THE PARKINSON'S WIKIVERSITY....

In the first week of April this year, representatives of Parkinson’s Movement met with John Telford, Charles Holme and Harry Pearman. Telford, Holme and Pearman had an idea for a Parkinson’s educational project and we were keen to hear it. They expanded in some detail on what they hoped would be an online resource discussing the science behind Parkinson’s in a manner accessible to patients.

We were enthusiastic and, whilst we can take no credit for the end result, like to feel that we were supportive of the aims and objectives. The product that we discussed that day is now live at en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Par...

At Parkinson’s Movement, we fully embrace and endorse this wikiversity project. The concept is entirely in line with PM objectives of ensuring that patient views are represented appropriately. We urge you to take a look at the website, send us your comments, and above all contribute!

So glad to see this project! Finding up to date information about the science of the disease has been challenging, short of access to a medical library. I look forward to seeing this new venture grow!
