Why do I get extreme tremors that I cannot control, sweating, can't sign my name due to tremors?

This happened on my last Parkinson's MD visit and today@ during a yearly physical. So, embarrassing......I know they think I am crazy! Any suggestions to make these MD visits without all the drama?

I think you need to discuss this with your doctors. Does it only happen at your medical visits or are you prone to anxiety? I doubt the office staff thinks you are crazy. I am certain other patients have similar symptoms.

MD office staff have more awareness of Parky symptoms than the public in general.

Have no concerns about drama / extreme tremors / sweating / etc.

A consult with your doctor, via the telephone if possible to avoid the appointment symptom flare up, regarding potential Rx management of anxiety for your appointment dates.

OPTIONS

1. bring a companion to sign for you

2. bring a letter with you clarifying your situation with signature & date on it

3. have a stamp made of your signature - have office staff use it if you are unable to do so

4. if a dog person : Service Dogs / Companion Dogs / Psyche Dogs all can comfort and calm patients

Contact your local Service Dog organization and discuss the possibility of utilizing a Service Dog specifically for your appointments.

5. some Hospitals / clinics now have fingerprint / palm print scanners

FYI : Some medical offices use the quality of signature as a diagnostic tool - progression of the disease. It needs to be clarified that these symptoms dramatically worsen specifically at your appointments.

i have had sweating and tremour problems not as bad as you, i take a combination of azilect modopar and ropinerole seems to help

My tremors are always worse when I am anxious. And being at the Dr. is a perfect example.
