Sorry to hear of your situation. Before going through DBS, these potential problems should have been explained. Hopefully, you know that you can never have an MRI. Going through DBS is a trial in itself. Look at it this way, would you be better off, or worse, with DBS?

I had dbs done two years ago , it's not all that its been cracked up to be for everybody.

Rejected for which trials? How do you know the DBS was the reason you were not selected? I ask because I am currently in a PD trial for which certain criteria were clear from the 'advert'. I was screened against those (& possibly others) prior to being accepted. I was turned down for a different PD trial, presumably because I did not meet all the entry criteria. I was dxd PD after taking part in a nerve trial & I took part in a randomised trial of preferred meds on dx for 5 years. A bit of a mixed bag! My own experience has been that that trials managed by universities & research bodies are much more professional than those run by drug companies.

I've been rejected for trials several times because I have other medical conditions. I believe the reason is that my other conditions, & perhaps some medications I take, add variables to how I'd react to the trial. For most accurate results, at least in initial trials, researchers probably want to keep their sample population free of people who may react differently to the trial as the result of outside factors. Maybe the researchers determined that having had DBS could affect how you'd respond to the trial.
