I received this from Medical News Today.

It's about halting Parkinsons development...(still in it's early stages)..on mice.

Sounds promising though!

Thank you for sharing. Wonder how long it will have to be studied, can only hope that it will happen soon enough to help us! Also, if it helps with the cognitive deficits.

I say the same..good news, but we shall see..................

I read this and felt encouraged, thank you. I live in the hope that one day something will 'turn up', if not for me then for future generations xx

I certainly hope it will "turn up" in my lifetime...maybe I am a little selfish. ..Surely there will be a cure in future lifetimes, but I am concerned with mine at the moment..

The future will take care of itself. Now, time is of the essence, as the saying goes--

Good reading. Thank you CJ49 for sharing.

Alisont, I also hope if it isn't in time for me it will come soon in helping future generations, especially for the ones who seem to have so many relatives with PD.

Let's hope that this works out!! Sounds promising. I just hope they come up with something so that my children and grandchildren don't have to go through what I am now.

Very interesting. Hope this works or leads to other research to halt PD in its tracks.

Not sure if you guys are aware of this but Parkinson's has been cured many times in mice in the lab, but they have never been able to get the same results to happen in humans. Still, good news but just shows how far we have to go. It is amazing how much scientists know about the brain but how little is understood at the same time.
