I thought it was a very good and worth while program. However, you need to keep up with it or you'll lose the benefits gained.

How long ago did you try it? Maybe whoever the therapist was did not administer it correctly. I have heard many have good results with LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG. Maybe you shoud try again.

Hi, Lady54,

I was one of the first in Cornwall to receive LSVT. This was about ten years ago. At the time, I knew that my voice was much softer, but not how much until my therapist measured it. The LSVT course was very intense for a month, but the difference it made was amazing. I have not had to pursue any further training since then. Now, when I do any public speaking, my husband sits where I can see him clearly, and if my voice starts to drop, he signals to me and I say to myself, "Think loud!"

It certainly worked for me.

Hi Carrigan,

LSVT is Lee Silverman Voice Training. It is a one to one speech therapy course that involves a dedicated four consecutive weeks of intensive training.

I took the Lee Silverman voice and the Think Big physical therapy programs. I finished the voice therapy and I thought it really helped. I just haven't kept up with the routine. My voice comes and goes all the time. The physical therapy part I never finished because the center closed down, but I try to remember to do some of the things that the therapist told me. I like to take it again if I could find a therapist trained in it.
